Luz Galindo started in the architectural industry over 10 years ago as an architecture student working in an interior design company called Muro Muebles Galdi. There, she began to learn the language of design and construction before entering the work force. In 1997, Luz created a design and construction company in Mexico. Most of her projects ranged from residential renovations including interior and exterior architectural details, kitchens, baths, closets and built-in furniture. During 2001, she included Dal Tile Mexico (www.daltile.com) and Lamosa (www.lamosa.com) ceramic tile manufacturers to her clients. Luz designed and renovated ceramic tile kitchens and bathrooms showroom displays in their retail stores: Home Depot, Mexico (www.homedepot.com.mx), Ace Hardware stores Mexico (www.acehardware.com), and Kuroda SA de CV (www.kuroda.com) ceramic tile and plumbing stores. While living at the border crossing between the US and Mexico, Luz had the opportunity to work for various Architectural Construction firms and Landscape architects in California USA. She was also a part of the irrigation design team for Rainbird a world-wide leader irrigation company in the US (www.rainbird.com). In 2005 she collaborated with a recognized architectural firm in Cabo Mexico working on million dollar gated communities and beach resorts such as: • Villas del Mar (www.snellrealestate.com/villasdelmar.cfm) • Palmilla (www.snellrealestate.com/palmilla.cfm) • Punta Ballena (www.snellrealestate.com/puntaballena.cfm) • Cabo del Sol (www.snellrealestate.com/cabodelsol.cfm) Finally, in 2006 Luz enjoyed working as an architectural scale model designer at The Model Shop (www.modelshop.bc.ca) a Canadian Company. Then, she decided to launch Lighter Design & Drafting Services in 2007 to make use of her knowledge, experience and skills providing clients with different options for graphic representation.
